What is Frame and Elaboration?


Frame : ‘Present Perfect’, ‘Used to’, ‘be going to’

- Often marking a point where an episode is initiated




2) Elaboration : ‘Past tense’, ‘Would’, ‘ Will’

- Used for subsequent elaboration within the frame established
by the previously mentioned item in each pair

- Provide details

Main Hypothesis :

A. Specific past narratives (Tense and Aspect Sequences)
B. Past habitual narratives (Modal and Phrasal Modal Sequences)
C. Future scenarios (Modal and Phrasal Modal Sequence )


Extra :
a. Habitual present narrative (Tense and Aspect Sequences)
