The workman) made a horn. : 동사 + 목적어 (The marveled at the) size of the building. : 명사 + 수식어 (Congress is divided into the Senate) and the House. : 접속사 + 명사 (Harold fought) with him. : 전치사 + 목적어 또한, 동사m 앞에 목적어를 두는 일본어 같은 언어는 상기 요소들의 순서를 반대로 하여 명사 앞에 수식어를 놓고, 그 연결하는 두 개 어의 두 번째 어 다음에 접속사를 두며, 후치사(postpositions)를 사용하는 경향이 있다. 대부분의 언어는 동사 + 목적 언어(VO language : 영어)
