My English was not good since the beginning. I found it very hard for me to remember and use so many different English rules. I always got low scores in English tests. Things changed when I was in the second year in senior middle school. My English teacher paid special attention to me. I decided to study English hard probably because of his extra care. I made great progress with my teachers help.
Sitting at a table looking at your notebook is not the best way to study English. Most of the time, your mind is not actively using the information that you are studying, and practical learning does not take place. Here are some tips that I used to use may help you learn more effectively.
First, write a diary every day. It can let you see your grammar clearly in front of you, express your ideas, and use a non-oral method to communicate in English. Ask your teacher to correct your journal. Then read the corrected version out loud. It is a good idea to re-copy the corrected journal too, so that you will have the experience of writing your ideas down in proper English
Second, remember vocabulary as much as you can. Words are bricks compared to the buildings of English. Use a dictionary and grammar guide constantly. Keep a small English dictionary with you all the time. When you see a new word, look it up. Think about the word and use it in your mind in a sentence. You can also learn English words by immersing yourself in English materials, such as English newspaper, magazines, and passages online. Of course you can enlarge your vocabulary by listening speaking reading and writing. In a world, the more you contact English, the better you will become.
Third, speak English at any time as much as possible. Learning English can be a very difficult task for most people, this is because we dont live where we are forced to speak or write English. So I think the best way to learn English is by speaking lots of English with your friends! Dont be shy. Practice, on the other hand, can give us more useful knowledge. In fact, I think making mistakes is the best way to learn English. Moreover, if you want to make new advances, it is necessary to speak. Finally, we can apply the skills and insights gained through the study of books to English speaking practice, making our spoken English more accurately.
Fourth, we should work hard at English. It is well known that there is no shortcut to success. Also there is no shortcut to learning English. Fluent and good English cant come easy if we dont take great pains. As the saying goes, "Rome was not built in a day." Once we decide to learn English, we should be ready to face the difficulties that well meet with and try to overcome them as early as possible. We should study English day after day and keep on using it as often as we can. Only in this way can we find it easy to learn the English language. Please remember: Industry is the parent of success
Above all, have fun learning English. Things we do best in life are the things we enjoy doing. If you cant have fun learning English, you wont study in the right way! Relax! Be patient and enjoy yourself. Learning foreign languages is just a piece of cake.
