Government support
In 2009, the government decided to implement new 89 tasks of long-term
R&D enterprise on industrial technology field. Budget of 155.3billion.
The purpose is to increase the connectivity between companies
who has been introduced to RFID with different objectives.
To maximize the usage of RFID system,
companies should not only share the technologies and Supply Chain data,
but also build intelligent distribution channel which can detect & trace
any false information and defective product.
What is RFID?
RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) also called as electronic tag or smart tag
RFID is data storage device which substitutes for bar-code.
Once the complete RFID chip is attached to the product it is
able to track down the product’s current status in real time,
from product’s basic information to distribution, consumption
etc
It is possible to gather information wireless when RFID is tagged to the product.
Ministry of knowledge economy planned for 50% of all medical supplies to be
imposed on RFID system by 2015. Predicted ripple effect is 910billion won.
