국문초록

This study aims at the development of the proposals to improve user satisfaction of the Twitter and me2DAY, the representative microblogs which is a kind of the SNS (Social Network Services) spread by the introduction of Web 2,0, by usability evaluation.
In order to accomplish this research goal, the number of errors and the implementation time on six different tasks with regard to production of profile and content, formation of relationships and communication have been evaluated based on the task assignment method among utilization evaluation methodologies. The evaluation has been conducted by classifying targets into twitter and me2DAY and obtaining the average and standard deviation for each task. To supplement the survey method, preference survey and interviews were conducted. The preference survey was carried out through a list of questionnaire with 5 point Likert scale whose result was analyzed through gender t-test to find out if there is any difference in average. The interview has been focused on asking respondents if they have any particularly preferred micro blog.
The differences between Twitter and me2DAY were identified through the multi-layered structural analysis, and the proposals for improving user satisfaction were developed for the domestic operators of microblog on the basis of the analysis result. The first proposal is to make efforts in the improvement of the function to provide the users with the user environment suitable for the original functionality of microblogs, and the second is to develop and provide the services to reflect the differences in the preferences by the sexuality of the users.

영문초록

본 연구는 Web 2.0 도래에 따라 확산된 SNS (Social Network Service)의 일종인 마이크로블로그(microblog)의 국내외 대표주자인 트위터와 미투데이를 대상으로 사용성 평가를 하여 국내 마이크로블로그 서비스의 사용자 만족도 향상을 위해 필요한 사항을 제안하는 데 목적이 있었다.
이러한 연구 목적 달성을 위해 사용성 평가 방법 중 과제 부과형 평가 방법을 활용하여 프로필 및 콘텐츠 생산, 관계맺기, 커뮤니케이션과 관련된 6개의 과제에 대한 오류 횟수, 과제 수행 시간을 평가하였다. 평가결과는 트위터와 미투데이로 나누어 각 과제별 평균과 표준편차를 구해 서로 비교하였다. 또한 사용성 평가 방법을 보완하기 위해 선호도 조사와 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 선호도 조사는 5점 Likert 척도로 구성된 설문을 통해 실시하였으며, 그 결과는 성별 t-검증을 통해 평균의 차이가 있는지를 살폈다. 인터뷰는 특정 마이크로 블로그를 더 선호하는 이유를 묻는 방식으로 진행되었다.
이 같은 다층적 구조의 분석을 통해 트위터와 미투데이의 차이점을 발견하고, 분석 결과를 토대로 국내 마이크로블로그 운영업체에 대해 사용자 만족도 증진을 위해 필요한 사항을 제언하였다. 그것은 첫째, 마이크로블로그 본연의 목적에 맞게 사용자 환경이 제공될 수 있도록 기능 향상에 노력해야 한다는 것이다. 둘째, 사용자들의 성별 성향 차이를 면밀히 파악하여 이들의 욕구를 모두 반영할 수 있는 서비스 제공이 필요하다는 것이다.
