1. Using the model found on page 194, evaluate Allstate’s goal-setting process. How does it work?

Allstate is insurance company. As nature of the insurance company, they must be faced with a variety of customers, so Allstate have to choose diversity strategy to satisfy a consumer as well as their employee. Diversity strategy unlock the potential for excellence un all workers and make certain the workforce matched.

Challenge - As you can see, by presenting two major points, Allstate suggests clear object of strategy which can lead to higher performance.
Mediator - After set up a clear and specific goal, mediators have to support achievement of their goal. First of all, direction makes people focusing on behaviors expected to achieve the goals. Based on the specific direction, people effort to achieve performance, and they have to persist their goals.
Moderator - In order to achieve goal successfully, a role of moderator is very important in this process. So, Allstate highly considered each factor especially feedback system. Feedback can provide information to the employees about how well they are doing.
