본문내용: 1. introduction
In tourism industry, lodging industry is one of the most important and influent factors. Hotel is the center of lodging industry. Hotel is classified according to the management form. One form is independent and the other is franchise hotel. In this paper, we research 3 representative independent and private hotels and franchise hotels in the world.
We found Ariau Amazon towers hotel, Library hotel and Semiramis hotel in independent hotel and InterContinental Hotel, Hayatt Hotel and Hilton Hotel in franchise hotel.

2. Independent hotels
(1) Ariau Amazon Towers Hotel
Ariau Amazon Towers hotel is the largest treetop hotel in the world. Nestled in a canopy of trees above the Amazon river, Ariau Amazon TOWERS JEWEL OF THE Amazonian rainforest and the only hotel resort built completely at tree top level in the jungle. So everyone can experience the ultimate in eco-tourism. This hotel’s philosophy is to protect and defend the beauty and fragility of the Amazon jungle. Ariau Amazon Towers hotel located 35 miles northwest of the Manaus, Brazil – the capital of Amazonas. Rising on the right bank of the Rio Negro, this spectacular Amazon resort is surrounded by the most beautiful scenery, wildlife and pristine landscapes in the Amazon rainforest. Ariau Amazon Towers hotel is just 40 miles from the international airport. In the midst of the wild, Ariau Amazon Towers houses a myriad of modern facilities within our tree tops, including two 134-feet observation towers with sweeping views, a panoramic auditorium for 500 people, two amphitheaters, a cyber café, a souvenir/gift shop, 2 treetop swimming pools, two restaurants serving regional cuisine, four bars, convenience stores, and activity/tour desk, heliport, airport transportation and a business center. Also, the hotel offers a variety of thrilling tours within the Amazon forest and beyond, including canoe trips, jungle treks, piranha fishing, visiting Amazonian native dwellings, swimming with pink dolphins, archipelago tours, helicopter rides, and the observation of nightlife animals. Guest can also observe the natural phenomenon of meeting of the waters, where the Rio Negro and the Solimoes river run side by side for 5 miles without mixing.
