1862 Founded by Frederick August Otto Schwarz in Baltimore under the name of Toy Bazaar
Moved to a location on Broadway in New York City, changed the name to FAO Schwarz
1880 Moved to larger quarters in New York's Union Square
Settled at 745 Fifth Avenue
Purchased by Parent's Magazine → W.R. Grace & Co. Grace(70)→Franz Carl Weber International of Zurich(74) →Christiana Companies, Inc. (85)
Relocate the store at 745 Fifth Avenue to a space across the street at 767 Fifth
